Al-Anon Family Groups


  • For anyone who has been impacted by some else's drinking. Members share their experience, strength, and hope in order to solve their common problems.

  • Joining Alateen allows teenagers to meet other teenagers experiencing similar situations.

  • This is not a religious program and there are no fees or dues to belong to it.


Center for Discovery Eating Disorder Support Groups

Schedule: 2nd and 4th Monday of every month from 8-9 p.m.

  • The Center for Discovery offers free Zoom peer-to-peer support groups focused on eating disorder recovery.

  • This group is open to anyone who is currently in treatment, in recovery, or has not yet sought treatment for an eating disorder.

Crisis Center of Tampa Bay/Corbett Trauma Center


  • The Circle is an open, anonymous group for survivors of sexual assault ages 18 or older that meets weekly in the evenings.

Depression and Bipolar Support Groups



  • Online peer-to-peer support groups for individuals ages 18 and older who are experiencing depression and bipolar symptoms.

  • You Grow Girl Support Group: A safe place for teen girls ages 13 17 to feel supported while having honest conversations about the struggles girls face in today's world and how to grow through it.

  • Covers topics including Self-Esteem, Emotional Regulation, Body-Image, Relationships, Dating, Decision Making, Distress Tolerance, and Mindfulness.

  • Takes place every other Saturday from 11am – 12pm at First Choice Counseling & Wellness Center.


Healthy Transitions Bent Not Broken Peer Support Group



  • This program aims to improve access to treatment and support services for youth and young adults ages 16-25 that either have, are experiencing symptoms, or are at risk of developing a serious mental health condition.

  • The program also aims to reduce stigma related to mental health, and focuses on empowering young people to be their best.

  • Groups held Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-8pm and the last 2 Fridays of every month, 4-6pm

HIV Support Group



  • Support group for youth 13-24 living with HIV.


Institute for LGBT Health & Wellbeing Transgender Support Groups


  • This institute offers two separate, complimentary virtual support groups for transgender youth (ages 13-18) and parents of transgender youth every other Friday.

  • Support groups for transgender adults (ages 18+) meet every other Thursday.

Metro Inclusive Health: LGBTQ Support Groups & Community Programming


  • LGBTQ+ Programs are designed as safe spaces for individuals to make new friends, socialize, and find support through similarly-identified peers.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Support Groups

NAMI Connection:

  • A virtual support group for people 18+ with mental health conditions. This program is also available in Spanish, NAMI Conexión.

  • Free of cost, led by people with mental health conditions, and confidential.

NAMI Family Support Group:

  • This peer-led virtual support group is for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition.

  • The Spanish version of NAMI Family Support Group, Grupo de Apoyo para Familiares de NAMI, is available in a limited number of states.

Alternatives to Suicide - Peer Network of Tampa Bay

  • A peer-based support group for supporting those who have or currently struggle with suicidal ideation; provides a safe space where adults can share anything, including feelings or thoughts around suicide without judgment.

  • Groups held on the last Wednesday of the month from 7-8:30 p.m. at Jimmie B. Keel Library, 2902 W. Bearss Avenue, Tampa, FL. View schedule.

Peer Support Space, Inc.

  • Helps those (18+) navigate mental illness and/or substance misuse challenges, neurodivergence, disability, grief, trauma, or other obstacles to mental wellness. 

  • To meet the risen mental health support needed in response to the pandemic, Peer Support Space continues to host Daily Digital Communal Gatherings at 12PM and 6PM, Monday-Saturday for the general community.

Recovery First Treatment Center

  • Free virtual support and online addiction meetings.
