Hillsborough County Children’s Services




  • CINS/FINS Residential Program: Short-term residential respite program which offers a youth ages 10 to 17 an average length of stay of 14 days with supportive counseling, health screenings, and referrals for community services.

  • CINS/FINS Non-Residential Program: Trained counselors provide individual and family therapy to youth ages 7 to 17 at sites throughout Hillsborough County with flexible daytime and evening hours.

Ian's Way




  • Ian's Way aims to prevent teen suicide and de-stigmatize mental health through education and peer-to-peer group counseling.

  • Talk Time is a teen group counseling program offered online via Zoom and moderated by a mental health professional. Talk Time is available to teens between the ages of 12-19. In order to participate in Talk Time, all minors must have a parent or guardian fill out the online consent form.

  • Additional information talks are held for family and friends on a variety of issues and different perspectives involving suicide and mental health. All are welcome to join these talk sessions. See online event schedule.

Open Path Collective


  • Non-profit nationwide network of mental health professionals dedicated to providing in-office and online mental health care—at a steeply reduced rate—to individuals, couples, children, and families in need.

  • Fees: Psychotherapy sessions range from $30 to $60 (between $30 and $80 for couples & family sessions), plus a one-time, lifetime membership fee of just $59.

  • Intended for people who either lack health insurance or are underinsured, and cannot otherwise afford to work with a therapist.

  • Assists individuals and their families on their journey through the maze of mental illness and addiction by coaching and connecting them with urgent and routine clinical resources in the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

  • PATHWAYS Hillsborough is a Northside Behavioral Health Care project funded through BayCare’s St. Joseph’s Hospital. Therefore, services are provided at no cost to individuals and their families.

  • Provides and assists children, families, agencies, and communities with services and supports to promote positive development.

Success 4 Kids & Families



  • Successful Kids: This program coordinates access to mental health services and supports based on a child's individual needs and the needs of the family. The goal is to keep children in their homes, schools, and communities.

  • Successful Students: A truancy intervention program targeting youth ages 6 through 16.

  • Successful Youth: Intervenes when young people find themselves in the juvenile justice system. Services focused on returning youth to their homes and community.

  • Healthy Transitions: Serving young adults ages 16 to 25 years of age struggling with mental health issues. The program strives to make mental health support services more readily available to youth through individualized and group wellness activities.

  • Healthy Minds: A coordinated specialty care for early psychosis treatment program.
    Enrollment Criteria:

    • Individual has experienced psychotic symptoms for no more than 2 years (e.g. hallucinations, delusional thoughts, bizarre behavior, paranoia, and/or disorganized speech).

    • Symptoms are not caused by a medical condition or substance use.

    • Individual must not have a documented IQ below 70.

    • Individual must reside in Hillsborough County.
