We're seeking to recruit a diverse group of high school students across Hillsborough County Public Schools. This joint effort between the school district and Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County provides students with a great opportunity to make an impact in the community while building their resume and gaining community service hours.
We're looking for students who are interested in raising awareness about important health issues impacting teens by developing youth-led marketing campaigns and providing feedback to healthcare providers and community partners. Through past projects, the YAB has helped elevate the youth voice by writing blog posts on topics ranging from sexual health, LGBTQ+ and mental health resources, as well as launched an online social media campaign to educate teens on the importance of STD testing and how to access sexual health services.
