We're calling all Hillsborough County high school students who are passionate about making a difference in their community to join the Teen Connect Youth Advisory Board!
What is the Youth Advisory Board?
Engage. Take Action. Empower. Learn.
The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) will give you an opportunity to sharpen your creative skills by working with your peers to develop a countywide marketing campaign aimed at empowering young people to take control of their sexual health.
What will the YAB do?
Inspire your peers to make informed decisions about their health and future
Learn about the most pressing health challenges facing those your age in Hillsborough County
Provide feedback on sexual health communication and marketing strategies
Design and implement a youth-led marketing campaign
Raise awareness about sexual health services available to teens and young adults
Who is eligible?
All Hillsborough County high school students who are passionate about making a difference in their community are eligible. If you have a special interest in art, health, communications, marketing and/or leadership development, we highly encourage you to apply.
What is required of me if I join?
You will be required to attend and participate in virtual YAB meetings which will take place after school. The time and frequency of meetings will be determined based on the group’s preferences.

Participation can also count towards community service hours.
