Q: What do I do if I forgot to take my birth control pill?

Generally speaking, take it as soon as you remember. However, sometimes it’s a little more complicated than that. Planned Parenthood has an online quiz that asks when you missed your pill, what pill you’re currently taking, when you took the pill last, etc., and then provides you with information on what to do. Remember that your risk of getting pregnant increases when you don’t take your pills properly. So always use condoms to further decrease your risk of getting pregnant (and bonus, to decrease your risk of getting an STI).
